Sabrina Carpenter’s sixth album Short n’Sweet has become my entire personality!!

So, I’m totally gonna overthink every single song on the track list and figure out which lyrics are about Sabrina’s boyfriend, Barry Keoghan.

If you didn’t know, Sabarry have been dating for like eight or nine months now, and the actor has been super hyped about the pop star’s music lately.

For real, I’d be all in on someone’s music if it was packed with adorable love songs about me!

From what we’ve heard(because this is the 20th time today that I have listened to the entire album), there’s definitely one track that seems to be about Barry and touches on how they first met, theygossip.com reports.

So I’d say we forget about all those break-up rumors between them because things seem to be going on a deeper level!!

Clocking in at 36 minutes, Short n’ Sweet is a fun mix of pop, country, and RnB that really captures the craziness of love.

Across 11 tracks, Sabrina explores everything from commitment without responsibility to those late-night thoughts and the return of past relationships.

The album flows so smoothly that it’s got that ‘no skip’ vibe. Barry Keoghan might not be on the album, but you can feel his presence.

In “Bed Chem,” she sings, “Who’s the cute boy with the white jacket and thick accent?”-a clear reference to her on-and-off boyfriend. Let’s take a closer look at the lyrics and what they mean!

Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter

“Bed Chem” Has Barry Keoghan Wrriten Across It

The song captures that thrilling rush of meeting someone fresh and dreaming about a possible romantic or physical connection, all mixed with flirtation, fantasy, and a playful sense of confidence.

The main character enjoys the concept of “bed chemistry,” blending attraction with a lighthearted, fun atmosphere.

Lines like “Who’s the cute guy in the white jacket with that thick accent?” and references to “wide, blue eyes” really stand out since they match traits linked to Barry Keoghan, like his unique accent and look.

And then we have that opening line; “I was in a sheer dress the day that we met/ We were both in a rush, we talked for a sec”, guess what this si referencing??

Their first meeting which is said to have happened at Parish Fashion Week, The Givenchy show where Carpenter was wearing that sheer dress, that’s what she’s talking about.

The lyrics highlight that electric moment when two people cross paths and feel an immediate attraction.

Lines like “But I bet we’d have really good bed chem” and “How you pick me up, pull ’em down, turn me ‘round / Oh, it just makes sense” really capture that vibe.

The term “bed chem” hints at a powerful physical chemistry, showcasing the fun and sensual side of their connection.

Flirtation and Imagination

The lyrics have this playful, dreamy vibe to them.

The main character is lost in thoughts about what it’d be like to be with someone special, shown in lines like “And I bet it’s even better than in my head” and “I digress, got me scrollin’ like / Out of breath, got me goin’ like.”

It’s like the daydreaming goes on and on, suggesting a fun little obsession.

What Else?

The track mixes up contemporary, fun language with quirky nods to Shakespeare, giving it a playful and creative vibe.

The artist boldly shares their feelings with catchy lines like “Are you free next week?” and “I’m obsessed,” showing they’re all in when it comes to chasing their crush.

There’s a nice touch of humor and irony sprinkled throughout the lyrics, especially with over-the-top phrases like “Ha (Make me go), ha,” which adds a cheeky and enjoyable twist to the whole theme.

Sabrina and Barry

“Lie To Girls” Could Be a Brake-Up Clue!!

Barry, we think this might be a little about you! Did you do anything to hurt our 4' 11 queen!!

There have been rumors about their break up and some are claiming that it happened because Keoghan has drinking problems and that’s why his first relationship ended in the first place.

In the song, there is this one line that says “Don’t swear on your mom/ That it’s the first drink that you’ve had in like a month”.

But it confirms nothing about anything it could be just lyrics that fit right in!!

Overall the song dives into how women can sometimes fool themselves in relationships, ignoring warning signs just because they’re drawn to someone.

The narrator points out that guys don’t even have to be dishonest-if a woman is into them, she’ll handle the lying, turning awkward truths into something easier to digest.

With a blend of humor and irony, the song takes a jab at the self-deception that often pops up in toxic relationships and the emotional impact it brings.
